When Will You Play the Piano for Me?

Hi,

I have a beautiful story to share with you.

Recently, I had the honor of hosting an in-person mediumship demonstration at the Nelson Centre of Musical Arts. The evening was filled with touching messages from Spirit and loved ones, delivered in an atmosphere that was warm, open-hearted, and beautifully enhanced by the musical energy of the venue.

There was one moment in particular that has stayed with me—and I believe it’s a powerful reminder of why I do this work.

As the event began, I noticed a friend of mine in the audience. I hadn’t known she would be attending. I continued with the evening, moving through the room and sharing messages. But something curious kept happening—a persistent message was coming through: “Your friend’s mum has a message for her.”

I hesitated. I know her mother is still very much on the Earth plane, so I thought, That can’t be right. I chose to wait and continued sharing with others in the room.

After the intermission, though, the message hadn’t gone away. If there's one thing I’ve learned through years of this work, it’s this: step aside, trust the message, and let it through.

So I did.

I said to my friend, “Your mum is showing me a big pot—something for cooking spaghetti. It’s like she’s making dinner for the family.” It felt a little general at first. But then came the moment that gave us both goosebumps:

Her mum said, very clearly and with a strong emotional pull: “When are you going to play piano for me?”

My friend gasped, put her hands to her face, and said, “Oh my god! I just visited her today, and there was a piano in the room. But I didn’t play—I didn’t have my music with me.”

Her mother is currently living in a memory care home. And somehow, telepathically and energetically, she had reached out with this simple but powerful request.

A week later, my friend sent me a photo with the message: “Guess where I am?” She had returned to visit her mum—and this time, she played the piano.

What happened next was extraordinary. Her mother, who usually paces and has difficulty communicating, sat peacefully through the entire visit. Other residents gathered to listen, creating a calm, soothing atmosphere in the room. The staff even thanked her, saying the music gave them a moment to relax and recharge.

All of that came from one short message: “When are you going to play the piano for me?”

This is the ripple effect of Spirit. A single message, passed through love and trust, brought peace—not only to my friend and her mother—but to many others as well.

This is my “Why.”
To deliver messages of peace, connection, and comfort—and to allow the ripple effect to carry that healing energy far beyond what we can see in the moment.

Until next time, sending love and light to you all.

Jess

This is the piano and music she played.
